Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Good value in a big round, always-red/orange, sparkler. Full face-up of 8mm, but no window. The main impression, IMO, is 'red with orange', even if IGI came down on 'orange with red'. Hardly any inclusions, even under the lens. In Medium-Dark 85, some dark areas are normal but the gem never blacks-out, stays red/orange in all light settings. See 'more images' to catch the nice dark red luster (even if it seems orange-yellow, it is always deep red). Its two carats will fill a ring up to size 7/8. As most garnets this is a mix of varieties, with pyrope giving the red, and spessartite the orange.
