Comment: Sphene from East Siberia! How is that for a tough location? (I've never been but I hear you can literally be eaten by mosquitos there). I assume the miners wear garlic strands around their necks to bring this novelty to our trade. IGI had no reference to identify its origin though they are the world's biggest gem lab. Primarily yellow with only a little green. As always with sphene a firework of brilliancy thanks to its, better-than-diamond, dispersion also known as fire. Well cut, no window, no visible inclusions. Needs a professional goldsmith and protective settings (we do it for you and cover the risk). Sphene, or titanite, is one of the most amazing gems available. If you love sparklers, you must see a sphene (and a demantoid and a sphalerite). Study more images under different light settings.
