Comment: Fear no end to new discoveries in the gem universe. Check this quartz with its orange red fibers floating in the gem like weed in a river. Under the lens, the details are endless, as on close-up images. So far, we had rutiles only in straight parallel needles but never in such curving shapes nor the unique hue (for the scientist: this isn't rutile anyways, just called thus, see below). Set in a simple pendant, with four prongs, it will make a special jewel, something nobody will ever have seen before let alone owned. Depending on the background, if dark, the entwined fibers turn the gem all orange-red, dominating the crystal in color, or on a bright see-through background each fiber stands out alone and the gem turns transparent with only a sheen of red. Not a showy jewel but one for the attentive eye and mind. Be sure to read up on these rutile gems before you wear it in public. We can only cover the basics here, but there is far more to learn and share at a dinner-party. For those who are interested, these gems are used for healing in psychology, no less. They may contain various types of needles, not all are true rutile but also tourmaline, beryl or scapolite, with different colors and different effect on the owner. This particular type is called 'strawberry quartz' obviously due to its color and is believed to fight negative thoughts and depression. Sweet strawberries (which should be redder), or smoothies thereof, or ice-cream help with bad moods, too, but you need to work off the sugar later. Wearing the gem is zero cal.
