Comment: Unless you are long-time garnet collector, I can promise you that this here red-purple is the most amazing hue that you have ever seen in rhodolite. In nature, a flower or a butterfly of this color would stop you short, jaws dropped; that is, of course, only if you are the kind of person paying attention to flowers and such. Though not as clean as most of our 3*Nos-Excellence-Class, I cannot locate the inclusions with unaided eyes (meaning without lens) but these eyes have been in use for half a century and many years in close-combat with gems. In any case, inclusions are the only flaws to report and, even if they do not jump out in details, they give the crystal a fuzzy appearance, yet COLOR is the name of the game here. With Medium Dark 70 you need not to worry about blackouts. Always in that lushest red-purple, the deep tone cuts its brilliancy from a potential 95% in a perfectly clean and Medium 50 round gem down to 'only' 75% under normal daylight conditions (the way we shot all our standard images). In direct sunlight or under full office-light you can, nevertheless, enjoy a 95% brilliancy (please ask if this is not clear). The nine-millimeter round will be sufficient for any ringsize, gents or ladies, and also offer a pendant design with full visibility. IMHO, white gold or platinum will suit best to the hue and tone but yellow or rose-gold won't be wrong either (not a frequent judgement). On a tight budget, a simple four-prong ring (cheap) or a three-prong pendant (cheaper) is enough to show the gem's color in all its glory. A healthy budget may buy you an elegant diamond encrusted pendant frame in rose gold, a white gold treble-shank snake-ring design, or a halo of Sandawana emeralds, the worlds-best color-holding emeralds of which we humbly brag to own the only and LAST significant stock worldwide, or a platinum flower-brooch with its pedals covered in tiny rhodolite cabochons.... just to name a few ideas :-).
