Comment: 1.92 counts as two carats with 7+mm round brilliant cut. Medium Dark 80 and with more orange than purple for a rhodolite (its ancestors must have been spessartites). Deep color-gem rather than a merry sparkler, yet never dull or blackish. Worthy alternative for deep orange spinel or ruby which would be $$$ in two carats round. Set in a high cathedral white gold, it will do the owner pround in an understated, un-posh but pretty and unique style. Inclusions are visible only under the lens, no window, no treatments.
