Comment: This large roundish tourmaline shows a change in tone running through its center. There, the gem brightens and more green shows luster while the outer halves remain darker, green but not black. Dense metallic hue changing in tone, which we will call color-zoning here. Unique and typical tourmaline-effect, not unpleasant but helping enormously on the budget. At under $300/ct as good as it gets for natural handcut tourmaline in full size. Pendant-size or rings over 8. No window, no inclusions, no treatments. Flawless handcut between round and square cushion depending on your perception. Always better than images. Value deal.
