Comment: This little fellow came to us in a parcel of tsavorites and I had thought him to be a merelani garnet (the bright green type of Tsavorite)... until he returned from the DSEF. Aha! Lesson learned: There are tourmalines in Kenya (or elsewhere) that can compete with green garnets. Of course, I paid the tsavorite rate and will not make a fuss with the seller because she obviously also didn't notice (thus it is cost of business on my side). Anyways, intense bright grass green, no inclusions, no window, precision cut, no treatment, 95% brilliancy, fully certified and with 5mm+ diameter a proud face up with tons of lustre for little dough.
