Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: The origin of the nomer 'jelly-opal' becomes visible here. The near colorless body, see-through thin, shows different 'wobbly' colors under changing light. With the extra thin body, low depth, the effect is even stronger. For the same reason we get near 9x7mm in size, making the carat weight less important as often in opal. Unfortunately IGI made a mistake in the report calling it 'fire opal' which we corrected by hand (and reduced the price). A good catch for the bargain hunter who doesn't care for the paperwork. Would do nice in a simple pendant, thin bezel and open back, small loop and a thin chain. Perfect oval shape. No inclusions.
