Comment: Opals are pretty awesome on photo but they are really a type of gem that strives in motion. Thus, we could no longer get around experimenting with the first videos. The fact that opals are video-friendly (compared to facetted gems) helped. Here is a first result on YouTube in a pop-up window. What you see here is a 10mm cabochon in office light simulation (rows of artificial light bulbs). As all our gems, it is an untreated opal (and DSEF tested as such), free of inclusions in a translucent body, typical of Welo opals. Obviously, this is a fantastic show, but not different from other opals in our inventory, meaning we didn't chose to make a first vid of this one because it was particularly amazing. They all are fantastic, some more in this way, some more in other ways, but the principal effect is comparable. The handshots show side and back of the cabochon. Truly precious opal in full size, either for a showy ring or a pendant. Personally, I would prefer a ring, so that I can get lost in its color myself, rather than having people staring at my neck, even if it is in admiration. Such a gem tends to draw views and then hypnotize, similar to an open fireplace or a sunset.
