Comment: Even 1.12 carat of opal come out with 9x7mm, a full-sized ring stone. As the images show, this opal consists of one part 'colorless jelly' a.k.a. 'crystal' (like 1.85), and of one part with two round, ring-shaped orange color-zones. Both areas show play-of-color but of different character, one is like fire-opal, kissed by fire, dominated by the increasingly orange body, while the other is a rainbow flaming on play-day. No dead spots, no inclusions, flame-pattern, twice color zoned in ring-shape, no treatments (opals can be oiled, dyed, waxed, smoked, impregnated by all kinds of chemicals, including harmless sugar, boiled in acid, silver nitrate, surface painted, heated and so on and on, but still less than some other gems, yet enough to despair especially when you add those not yet discovered, and future inventions sure to show up). Our gem here is untreated, well cut and polished, and while all opals are unique, this here is impossible to get mixed up with others. Note that under 'more images' our usual side- and back-shots are done on hand, partly to show better, partly because opals never hold still when turned on their rounded back.
