Comment: Once-in-a-life-time aquamarine for a special person and occasion. Mind that these images were taken on a cloudy Autumnal day. I've seen certified paraibas that would not appreciate to sit next to this jumbo colour-blast. In unheated Aquamarines the secondary green hue is a must and an honour (visible mostly in the handshot and the back-side image). Despite its size, this 12 carat gem is basically free of inclusions, except a set of comet-like inclusions on the back of the gem which you can find only under the lens and they are nothing but pretty and utterly invisible to the eye. I wanted to make a close-up of those beautiful inclusions but then I couldn't find them with the camera. Probably the star of our Aquamarine collection. Biggest and best from an estate holding many great Aquamarines and Sandawana Beryls. Only $1150 per carat for this world-class gem in XXXL. Smaller pieces will come later. Obviously a pendant gem, yet I can also imagine it in a cocktail-sized power ring. No window, excellent hand-cutting of the 1970's to which no precision cutter today could add anything. Perhaps one of the most exciting unheated Aquamarines over 10 carat available online.
