Comment: Yellow beryl is called helidor, green is called emerald, blue is aquamarine, plus a few other varieties. Heliodor is less known but has many qualities of its type to offer. It is a jewelry gem with good luster, durability and the color of (yellow) sapphire. Although, this 1.16 is oval, its 'cross-cut' (not shape) suggests a rectangular form at first-sight. Like aquamarine, its crystal is liquid- or gas-like in appearance, just the opposite of an tough mineral. In the same sense, the luster of this gem is lively and unpredictable, not a roll of brilliance running through the stone, but a jumping set of sparks, an effect strenghtend by the cutting. Bright yellow with just a tint of green (NOT as in report-photo), no window, no inclusions, no treatments. Will make an adamantine ring-stone resembling fancy yellow diamond, even if much rarer. Yellow- and whitegold will complement its color well.
