Overall Grade: Excellent

Comment: In this heliodor-beryl, the green is actually easier to show, real and good for the camera (not a mirage as in PHP146). Under the lens, in person and also on photo, the gem has an ethereal character, very gas or fluid-like, with wavy swirls throughout the crystal, almost reminding of hessonite. No inclusions under the lens, except those fluid swirls which are hard to pinpoint. The yellow is slightly stronger but in this bright shade (light 33) the cross-over is, again, fluid. Beryl always gives full sizes for few carats, here 7mm+ round without window. Remarkable shiny gem, with a hard-to-define gleaming beauty (though the images catch it well). Interesting, pretty, mysterious and still affordable even the rare 'excellent' grade. A fine gemstone off the usual path, and a beryl, no less.
