Overall Grade: Very Good+

Comment: This is the 1.96 heliodor from the pair of newly named 3.57 'lime-beryl'; a preliminary title we'll keep until it sticks or we have had a better idea. This round gem is the one graded as 'free of inclusions' and with 95% brilliancy, giving the pair the '+' on the 'very good'. The single gem, as the pair, should be combined with white gold or platinum only. Warm yellow gold will not connect well with the extremely acidic green. In comparison to 1.47, this gem is visibly more aggressive, less soft and smooth in the crystal, more lime than yellow. If you compare the different heliodores on the beryl-page it is surprising how many combinations of hues and tones can be found in just this one sub-variety.
