Customs: Loose Gemstones
There is no import duty on colored gemstones in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
Ask us or contact your local customs if you need further information.
Customs: Jewelry
Other than gemstones, finished jewelry incurs import-tax. Our prices include delivery to your doorstep but NOT destination taxes.
How much? For the USA, the current import tariff is 5.5% of the declared value. The EU charges 2.5%, Australia 5% and Japan 5.4%.

Depending on your state, the common sales-taxes or VAT may apply as they would in any retail outfit.
In general, you will NOT be bothered with the details of the import-process but simply be required to pay a certain amount at the time you receive the item.
The transport company (e.g. Fedex, UPS or Malca-Amit) will calcluate the exact amount due and get your permission BEFORE they deliver.

Timing
As a rule, all products are shipped within 48 hours.
We will send you an email to confirm our outgoing date and give you the estimated arrival at your address.
In case of delay, please inform us so we can track the delivery.
For the impatient: Please consider, every stone needed millions of years to be created. Give it a few days to come to you.

Transport: Return Items
In the event that you want to return an item (gemstone or jewelry), we will provide you with easy instructions for the cheapest return of ‘low value items', and stand-by to assist, if needed.
If you are not in a hurry, the cost of returning a loose gem by registered airmail can be as low as $10.
Depending on country and product-type, we decide if a cheap low-value return is possible.*
The return of 'high-value items' will be managed by a professional transport-partner (e.g. Malca-Amit). For tax- and insurance-reasons it is imperative that you leave this process to us. A secure, cost-efficient and hassle-free return is in our mutual interest.
Based on years of experience, we will minimize cost and hassle, while nullifying risk. Ideally, you will be asked to arrange a pick-up time to sign-over the product, nothing else.
